Caleb Young
Safeties

Caleb Young is entering his first year with the Broncbuster football program as the Wide Receivers coach. Coach Young’s versatility allowed him to coach defensive backs last spring and has since moved to wide receivers.

Coach Young comes to Garden City from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL, where he was the defensive backs coach for three seasons. At MacMurray, he also served as the strength and conditioning coordinator and an academic assistance coordinator.

Before MacMurray, Young played both corner and free safety at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA. He led the defense in interceptions as both a junior and a senior. While at Briar Cliff, Young also ran track where he was a record setter and national qualifier. While coaching at MacMurray, Young played professional football with the Bloomington Edge of Bloomington, Illinois indoors.

What Coach Sims says about Caleb Young, “Caleb brings an enthusiasm to our team and coaching staff everyday.  He brings a great daily example for our student-athletes with his energy and intelligence.”
